Art Burrill's collection Part Two
This set of photos was taken later by Art Burrill, most in the late 1950's. He took them with a Kodak Signet 35mm and mostly Kodachrome slide film. These first two photos are from Eaton, Colorado. Date: Early 1958.

Here, an old family friend, Jackson D. Brown hands trainorders to a crew on a speeding set of F-units powering a freight through Eaton going toward Speer and perhaps eventually Cheyenne. Jack Brown worked with my grandfather and my father throughout his UPRR career in various Northern Colorado locations. This method of trainorder delivery was prior to the introduction of radio communication.
