| The 473 is a "K27" class "Mikado" steam locomotive, built by ALCO, American Locomotive Works. The 482 is a "K36" class, slightly heavier, and built by Baldwin. Both of these locomotives served many years on the Denver and Rio Grande Western. 482 was acquired in a trade from Cumbres and Toltec and totally rebuilt. It's a beautiful machine. |
